FVD: a federation committed to the future of direct sales!

In this article, dive into the world of direct selling and discover how its French federation (FVD) has evolved in recent years to offer its members ever more comfortable working conditions. The activity of independent home salesman allows to benefit from many advantages. Ecosystem Laboratoire has been a member of the FVD for many years and we are proud to be part of the adventure.

Advances in training:

The field of training in direct sales has seen significant advances in recent years. Agreements with educational and higher education institutions have enabled the creation of training courses for salespeople. The Direct Sales Academy has also been set up by the FVD to offer specialized training. Events such as the European Innovation and Commerce Colloquium and the Direct Sales Spring have been created to promote innovation and new business practices. These advances offer career development opportunities for salespeople and improved prospects for direct selling companies.

Progress in employment:

The FVD is committed to strengthening the future of employment in direct sales through a series of innovative initiatives and close collaboration with the authorities and employment professionals. Having signed an agreement with the Ministry of Economy to create 100,000 jobs in 3 years, as well as several agreements to facilitate professional integration, the FVD seeks to strengthen employment opportunities in direct sales for all workers, including those with disabilities. The FVD has concluded several agreements with Pôle Emploi and Defense Mobility to facilitate the professional integration of new workers in the sector.

Advances in the legal field:

For many years, the Direct Selling Federation (FVD) has been actively involved in the development of the law in the direct selling sector. Thanks to its actions and proposals, the FVD has succeeded in ensuring that the laws governing the sector are adapted to the reality of direct sales companies. The FVD has published a Practical Guide for the Independent Home Salesperson, which allows direct sellers to better understand their rights and obligations. This guide has helped clarify certain legal issues for independent home sellers. The FVD also worked for the introduction of the VDI status in the commercial code. This status offers an official recognition to independent home sellers and ensures them a better legal protection.

The FVD obtained the exemption of the professional tax for the VDI with modest incomes, which represents an important advance for the professionals of the direct sale. The FVD is also a founding member of the Pacitel system, which allows consumers to no longer receive unsolicited telephone calls. The FVD has participated in the creation of a charter of approved partners, which guarantees consumers a quality of service and transparency during their purchases in direct sales. Finally, the FVD was a founding member of the first chair "Consumer Law", which aims to promote research in consumer law and to train professionals in the direct selling sector to the legal issues related to it. The FVD has thus obtained numerous advances in the legal field for direct sales professionals and consumers. Thanks to its action, the direct selling sector is better supervised and offers more legal guarantees for all the actors involved.
